Founded in 1932, Krystal is one of the oldest hamburger chains in the United States and was the first chain to sell burgers in the South. It currently operates one hundred eighty (180) company stores and maintains one hundred twenty (120) franchised locations in ten (10) Southern states.
Golden Child, via a joint venture with Fortress Investment Group, LLC acquired the rights to Krystal in May, 2020.

Golden Child consistently invests in commercial real estate, primarily by acquiring mortgages. Since inception, it has acquired and or developed nearly $25M of real estate. The investments have been primarily but not limited to the retail sectors of commercial real estate.
